Radhe Radhe !!

Irrespective of whether you want to wish someone Good Morning or Good Night or maybe you want to say Excuse Me or Thank You, Radhe Radhe is the word which is heard everywhere in Vrindavan.

In my childhood, when my grandmother used to tell me stories from the childhood of Lord Shri Krishna, I created a picture in my mind. Then came the days of TV series by B. R. Chopra and Ramanand Sagar which endorsed my imagination.

But I never thought that I would be visiting these places any time. In fact, getting engaged in studies and career I completely forgot my hidden desire. But during one of our vacation planning, when my wife suggested Mathura-Vrindavan as our destination, it was immediately finalized.

The Planning – Kolkata to Mathura

But we did not have much idea how to go ahead with a travel plan from Kolkata to Mathura-Vrindavan. After all vlogs on YouTube were not so abundant in pre-covid days. Vrindavan tour is incomplete without visiting Gokul and Nandgaon as well. Finally, after lots of research we came up with a plan for 4 days for visiting Mathura-Vrindavan-Gokul-Nandgaon.

The pre-work started with railway ticket booking. There were only 2 direct trains between Kolkata or Howrah to Mathura – Kolkata AGC Express and U.A. Toofan Express. Considering the travel time which is considerable high for U A Toofan Express, we booked ticket in 13167-Kolkata-AGC express which departs from Kolkata station (Chitpur) every Wednesday at 1 PM.

Apart from this, had we planned to take a break journey, we can take Rajdhani Express to New Delhi and then reach Vrindavan by road within 3 hours. We decided to take direct train while going and a break journey while returning.
